Indonesia, with its 17.000 islands, offers thousands of unique experience and cuisine is not an exception. Probably, the most typical meal you’ll have an opportunity to try is Nasi Goreng or fried rice.
Not everybody can visit Indonesia immediately, so I decided to record video with a lovely couple from my favorite warung and show you how to make your own Nasi Goreng at home.
There are more types of Nasi Goreng, such as Nasi Goreng Telur (the simplest one), Nasi Goreng Ayam Telur (with chicken), Nasi Goreng Seafood or Nasi Goreng Vegetarian which I will teach you in video recipe.
When I told them about my idea to record this video, Ibu started to jump and clap her hands and was so happy. One of the reasons, why I love to eat street food are owners I can talk to and the more my language is improving, the more I enjoy it. I eat there almost everyday and small talk, while waiting for my meal, always makes me smile.
What you’ll need?
- Mixed vegetables (cabbage, spinach, carrot)
- Kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
- Kecap ikan (fish sauce)
- White pepper
- Masako (chicken flavor seasoning)
Now, just watch and follow the recipe
Put a bit of oil on the pre-heated pan, egg and boiled rice and mix it together.
Then add white pepper, salt, garlic, Kecap manis, Kecap ikan and Masako and mix it with rice and egg. Then come mixed vegetables, mix all the ingredients again, if needed put again a bit of Kecap ikan.
SELAMAT MAKAN 🙂
